RETURN PATH TO TAP INTO THE POSTINI THREAT IDENTIFICATION NETWORK TO BOOST BONDED SENDER PROGRAM
SAN CARLOS, CA, November 7, 2005 — Postini, the global leader in Integrated Message Management, today announced that Return Path, Inc. will utilize data from the Postini Threat Identification Network (PTIN) to support its Bonded Sender email accreditation service. Return Path will use PTIN to better evaluate the behavior of email senders and to judge their eligibility to become Bonded Senders.

The Bonded Sender Program publishes a whitelist for email receivers to identify legitimate mailers. This provides an objective way to ensure only unwanted messages get blocked. Email senders in the Bonded Sender Program must pass a rigorous qualification process administered by TRUSTe and Return Path. Receivers, in turn, are able to aggressively target spam without pressure of accidentally filtering permissioned email their subscribers want. The Bonded Sender Program is the most successful and widely adopted email accreditation program.
