POSTINI EXTENDS GLOBAL FOOTPRINT WITH ADDITION OF EUROPEAN DATA CENTERS AND JOINS WITH AUTHENTIUM for ENHANCED ANTI-VIRUS SERVICE
New Email Processing Centers and Multi-Layered Anti-Virus Protection Added to Support Growing Global Customer Base
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., March 7, 2005 — Postini, the industry's leading provider of email security and management for the enterprise, today announced the opening of new data centers in the United Kingdom and The Netherlands, providing Europe with additional processing facilities for an extra layer of local, enterprise-level security. The company also announced the addition of a second anti-virus engine to its Postini Perimeter Manager solution, providing multi-layered protection. The enhancements underline Postini's expanding global footprint in the security industry, and particularly in Europe, where multi-layered protection has become essential. Postini has joined with Authentium, for additional virus protection. Authentium serves over 2,000 enterprise customers and 2 million users and provides antivirus technology for gateway messaging security. Authentium brings award winning AV technology to Postini to complement the McAfee solution that is part of Postini Perimeter Manager. In London the Postini data center is located in the Level3 facility and in Amsterdam Postini is hosted with InterXion.
