by assuring that our customers' data is secure and confidential.
That fundamental trait of Postini remains as strong as ever.
Message data processed by Postini will not be shared with any
third parties, and our terms of access and use remain intact.
1. Your relationship with Postini remains the same.
All customer and partner agreements with Postini will continue
unchanged.
2. Your data remains confidential and private with Postini.
Your contract with Postini has specific confidentiality provisions.
These provisions may differ slightly based on your location,
but they are unambiguous in that they state our commitment
to the confidentiality of your data. It is your data for your
use. We will use it for no purpose other than specified in
the contract and will not share any data with any third parties.
3. We make not only a contractual commitment, but an operational
commitment.
We objectively measure our security system as part of our certifications
and security audits. Our practices are based on ISO 17799 standards
for information security policies and the Generally Accepted
Privacy Principles (GAPP) standard, and our annual SAS 70 Type
II audits validate that we follow these practices. We are also
WebTrust and TRUSTe certified for the web components of our
system.
4. Our commitment to confidentiality and data security is integral
to our service architecture.
Our architecture was designed from scratch to not risk the loss
or exposure of customer data. Our system, based on real-time
in-memory processing, rather than disk-based solutions, allows
us to meet the security and performance commitments we make.
Data security and confidentiality are fundamental to Postini.
We would not be a leading enterprise services provider without
these operating principles. Our competencies are exactly what
Google are looking for as a foundation for their enterprise
business, and are a major reason for their intended acquisition.
